[SWZ] Presents STX Skate
While filming a commercial for a friend's kiteboarding school (video to come soon) in St. Croix, US Virgin Islands I had a chance to do a little skating down the mountain roads. This particular road lead down to the beach that we had been kiting and filming at for the past few days.
Filming was done by Leading Edge Kiteboarding School owners Chris Doyle and Sara Seaver; with additional footage from a GoPro pole-cam setup made out of two shower curtain rods that were duct taped together (classy).

Temple University Longboard Club Countdown to Christmas Swap Meet/Slide Jam/Toy Drive
The Temple University Longboard Club held an event at a local hill in Philadelphia; not just for fun but also as a toy-drive to get into the holiday spirit. The event was organized by James Contreras, Matt Smith and Earl Stout III. The event also served as a toy swap meet in which any skater could come buy, trade and offer their unused/unwanted gear. Sponsers included Community Bikes and Boards, Commonwealth Boards, The Pucks, Wild Monkey Racing, Green Banana Skateboards, Dune Longboards, andBalance Skate Products. Those who donated a toy were automatically entered into a raffle. Click on the picture to check out our photo gallery!FIREFLY
FIREFLY shows off some amazing and dazzling technology. Using a Czech Republic designed and built radio controlled helicopter with DSLR cameras mounted to film, a pilot follows skater Jan Minol as he skates through the city at night. What makes this particular video spectacular is not the helicopter that follows him, but the blue neon lights attached to the underside of his deck as he cruises about. This video recieved a Vimeo Staff Pick for it's quality.

Tony Hawk Interviews Rodney Mullen About The First Kickflip
"I sequestered Rodney Mullen recently during a dinner party at my house in order to get the real story behind the kickflip. The only quiet place was my bedroom. Is that weird? Only if you make it weird. Which I might have just done by mentioning it at all. Anyway, he invented the kickflip because he's a genius and we are lucky to have him. Now I made it extra weird. Just enjoy the story and forget I ever said anything."
